Update on Baby boy quilt
I have been working on my baby boy quilt today, and I wanted to show you my progress:
Happy Thursday!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Kinda late…. sorry about that. My wonderful son made me some Mother’s Day presents that I just had to share with you.
A key chain made with knotted paracord and copper “S” initial, and a ring made of two-tone copper wire with a dual Josephine knot. Aren’t these the most thoughtful gifts ever? What a blessing children are! 🙂
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
A Baby Boy is on the way!
There is another baby boy on the way in our church community- he should be here any day now! Since his parents generously shared with everyone that they are having a boy, I decided to get a head start on his quilt. I chose a pattern from a book called Hidden Block Quilts by Lerlene Nevaril. The pattern is a variation of the Hovering Hawks block. I added a third color because I couldn’t decide between green and brown or red and brown. So far I have all the pieces cut out, but only 3 of the 16 blocks sewn together. I just haven’t had much sewing time lately.
Hopefully I will be able to finish it soon and show you a picture of the finished top!
We are having some gorgeous spring weather around here- the boys went swimming for the first time this year!!! I am so out of practice I forgot the sunscreen…..
