A Quilt for Asher- finished!

I was able to finish piecing the top, quilting it, and binding the quilt for Asher this weekend.

A few of the daffodils survived the snow….

It is a sunny day out there today, so maybe spring has arrived!!

A Quilt for Asher

As you know from many of my previous posts, I love to make quilts for new babies. It just seems like the perfect baby present- the parents like it, they don’t already have one, they won’t grow out of it in 2 months. Plus, I get an excuse to make another quilt!!! Baby Asher arrived a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t start his quilt until he had already arrived because no one knew if he was a boy or a girl 🙂 I picked out the Midnight Flight block because it was large enough that I could make a baby blanket with just 4 blocks (it is actually 16 blocks because each big block is really 4 blocks).

So far I have the main body of the quilt made. I still need to add the borders. I already have the HST blocks made, I just have to sew them on. I couldn’t wait to show you my progress though. I also can’t wait to get to see baby Asher…..
