Our trip to the East Coast- November 2009
For Thanksgiving this year, we flew to the East Coast to visit Doug’s family.
Our trip started with a layover in Southern California, so we were able to see Steph’s parents for a very short breakfast get-together at the airport.
Some quick pictures out on the deck……

and we are back on the plane for the long haul to Washington DC.
We hadn’t been back for so long- too long- and it was great to see everybody again.
We got lots of hugs from Grandmom…..
and great stories from Pop-pop….
and all kinds of laughs with Cousin Andrew……
and not enough silliness and Wii time with Lauren and Andrew…..
The first night after we arrived, Andrew was playing in playoff game with his high school football team. There was a noreaster passing through town at the same time, so it was a bit rainy…… but even rain couldn’t quench the excitement of this game! It started out with the opponent catching the football at the kickoff and carrying it all the way for a touchdown. That got everyone sobered up. Then Andrew’s team caught the kickoff and took it in for a touchdown right back! Andrew’s team dominated the whole rest of the game and we all lost our voices shouting in the stands.
