Orca Bay Fun
January 13, 2012I was doing well keeping up for the first 6 steps, but then the holidays hit and I fell behind. Now that several people have finished their quilts and published photos of them online, many discussions have broken out about different layout options for Orca Bay. I decided that I would like to play with the options too, before I sew my final layout. Since I am already behind, I might as well take my time, right?
This option is the red strings surrounding the light ohio star with all red centers.
This option is the red strings surrounding the light ohio stars but changing the centers of the dark stars to purple to match the smaller purple strings.
I think I like the purple centers better… hard to say because my purples don’t really match the strings….
This is when I would love to have one of those snazzy EQ programs that draws up different layout options– crawling around on the floor and moving wiggly bias-edged pieces around is a bit exhausting!
I can’t believe all I have learned from Orca Bay Mystery!!!!!
